The State of Texas is the 2nd largest state in the US, and is located in the South Central US and is considered to be the "Lone Star State." Texas is the place where Cowboys come from, and no, not everyone has a horse. Texas is also associated with cowboy boots, western hats, longhorns and oil wells.  The most popular metropolitan areas in Texas are Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and El Paso. The coastal areas of Texas include Galveston and Corpus Christi.
