Westlake

Westlake is town that has 6.7 square miles in Tarrant and Denton County in Texas.  It is located west of Southlake and south of Lake Grapevine.  The current population has increased from 207, 2000 Census Bureau, to between 800- 1000 people.  This is primarily due to the growth of two master planned residential communities.  The City Council tried to disperse the land of Westlake to SouthLake and Forth Worth Texas in the early 1990's. A Judge overruled the City Council's decision and restored the land to Westlake.  Most of Westlake borders State Highway 114  and a new City Council is working on motivating growth.
