Allen

The city of Allen is located in Collin County Texas in the United States and is a suburb north of Dallas.  The population has grown since the last 2000 census from 43,554 to an estimated 77,465 as of April 2007.  The City of Allen purchased the Chase Oaks Golf Course which is a total area of 26.3 square miles and the area is not covered  with water only small ponds throughout the city.  Nearby cities to Allen are McKinney,  Plano and Lovejoy.  Some portions of Allen residents are zoned for Lovejoy, McKinney, and Plano ISDs. Inside Allen Hight School there is a campus of the Collin County Community College Disctrict.
